When he made the decision to attend dental school he selected the excellent University of Washington School of Dentistry for his dental training.

After receiving his DDS he moved back to Henderson to begin practising. He has been doing all aspects of dental work since 1991, and moved back to the Pacific Northwest to open his practice here in Sumner.

Dr. Nash is dedicated to keeping up with advances in the field of dentistry and thus has taken part in frequently continuing education throughout his career. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Pierce County Dental Society.

Outside of his dental practice, he enjoys outdoor activities such as snow mobiling and fishing, and has begun wood turning. He and his wife have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and their two sons are grown.

The three person staff of Dr. Nash averages 15 years of experience, and includes:

Suzanne- Dental Hygienist

Suzanne’s experience as a dental hygienist goes back to 1988. She joined Dr. Nash’s dental practice in Sumner in 2008 and has loved being with both a wonderful staff and wonderful patients.

Her goal, besides excellence in the dental office, is to educate patients about oral hygiene so that they can enjoy optimal health, as problems in the mouth can spread throughout the body.

Paula and Mindy, Registered Dental Assistants

dental-office-sumner-waPaula and Mindy both sometimes work chair side with Dr. Nash, and take care of other duties around the dental office.

Paula is typically the first person you will speak with on the phone or see at the front desk. Her understanding of patients’ needs, and the ins and out of their insurance, will get you off to a great start.

She joined the staff in 2008 after 20 years in dentistry and loves her family time, lake time, camping, and her Swiss community.

Mindy also joined this staff in 2008 and was at the Sumner practice for 11 years prior. When working chair side, she enjoys the clinical side of dentistry and helps allay any fears patients may have about treatment so they can relax and even enjoy the process. She will also jump in to answer phones and greet people when necessary.
